After years of discussion, the giant salt pile on Troy’s waterfront, will be moving.

Mayor Carmella Mantello says an agreement has been reached between the city and American Rock Salt to relocate the giant salt pile.

In exchange, the city will defer the construction of the final two blocks of the South Troy Industrial Road.

Three pending multimillion dollar lawsuits against the city will also be settled and discontinued, the city said.
