Greene County man gets probation for leading police on chase while drunk

A Greenville man was sentenced to 5 years of probation after admitting to leading police on a drunken chase throughout Greene County.

Joshua Apjohn, 20, was arrested last November after State Police had tried to pull him over near the intersection of Route 32 and Route 23A in Catskill. However, he ignored them and continued driving.

Troopers followed him through Cairo, when Apjohn lost control of his car and hit a tree, police said. Two 17-year-old passengers were inside the car at the time. One person was hurt.

Apjohn pleaded guilty last week to unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, driving while intoxicated and unlawful fleeing of a police officer.
