A great horned owl was rescued in Greenville, after being stuck in a soccer net at a youth and conference center.

Environmental Conservation officers got to the scene, and they were able to cut the net around the bird with a pair of scissors.

They freed the owl safely, and brought it to a nearby wildlife center for an evaluation.

The owl was in good health and released about a week later.
