A local church is doing its part to keep the community safe for the holidays.

Victory Church on Quail Street hosted its annual Gifts for Guns program on Saturday.

This annual event encourages people to bring in any firearms in an effort to get weapons off the streets.

Pastor Charlie Muller said this is the 10th year he’s done this, and in the first hour, people brought in a Glock, an AR-15, and even ghost guns.
