Tuesday is the “American Heart Association Day of Action” at the New York State Capitol.

Advocates are coming together to call on lawmakers to create a cardiac emergency response plan for every school across the state.

It would help increase the chance of survival for students who suddenly go into cardiac arrest, advocates said.
