Heat pump company gets state grant to build Troy facility

Heat pump manufacturer Energy Catalyst, LLC has received big money for a project to construct a new facility in North Troy.

The money includes an $850,000 Empire State Development Grant and a $1.135 million Excelsior Jobs Tax Credit. The new facility will include an assembly line, testing lab, training area and office spaces in North Troy.

The funding was part of over $15 million Gov. Kathy Hochul announced on Monday to support 19 projects across New York state through the Regional Economic Development Council initiative.
