Lane closures set for Route 9 in Lake George

Drivers in Lake George are advised to watch for lane closures beginning later this month.

Route 9 in the area of the Northway overpass will be reduced to a single lane of alternating traffic, starting at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, April 10. This will last through around Aug. 31.

Traffic will be controlled by temporary signals.

The lane closure is necessary to complete a bridge replacement project.

Drivers are urged to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones, or face hefty penalties.
