One of downtown Albany’s most well-known bars is using comedy to bring back a sense of community.

The Lark Street Tavern started hosing many comedy shows and bringing in comedians from New York City. The professional shows are pulling in customers who live in the neighborhood.

Local musician Brad Manco is working with Lark Street Tavern owner Chris Pratt to create this new comedy scene.

Manco said seeing comedy live makes the experience more valuable.

Pratt said the challenge is to get people to come out and experience it for themselves.

The comedy shows are mostly on Sunday afternoons.
