Cohoes Police are looking further into the tragic death of Blake, the dog of first responders Kevin and Christine Carmel.

A Cohoes firefighter’s family pup was stabbed after barking at an intruder who trespassed on their property.

Blake was outside when the incident occurred and the altercation resulted in fatal injuries, according to the owner.

A GoFundMe page that had been set up to pay for his medical bills posted over the weekend that Blake had succumbed to his injuries at around 3:45 a.m. on Saturday. The veterinarians told the family that there was nothing more they could do.
