New York Air National Guard Chief Master Sergeant Greg Mihalko has earned a National Leadership Award.
The Lance P. Sijan Leadership Award recognizes airmen who demonstrate the highest quality of leadership both personally, and professionally. It was named after Lance P. Sijan, a pilot shut down in November 1967.
Mihalko lives in Stephentown and oversees airmen at the Latham headquarters.
He was recognized for his job performance and his volunteer work off-duty.
Mihalko raised $3,700 this past year for the We Care for America Foundation, which helps airmen in need.
