A new cannabis dispensary is set to open on Tuesday in Colonie.

Brownies Recreational Dispensary is located at 1686 Central Ave. in Colonie. The business is owned by Michael Hilland, a Guilderland Class of 2016 graduate, and his mother Kelly, who retired after serving 38 years in the military.

This is the 50^th cannabis dispensary to open in the state. It is the first upstate dispensary to be majority owned by a Black woman and the 14^th majority Black-owned dispensary.
