A large portion of the city of Amsterdam is under a boil water advisory, due to a water main break.

The break, which began Monday, is impacting most of the entire south side of the city.

Water service is restored, but it is still being tested for bacteria.

Only a handful of streets are not impacted: Broadway, Windswept Drive and Queen Anne Road. Everyone else should bring their water to a rolling boil for one minute.
