New leaders named at Albany Roman Catholic Diocese

New leadership has been named for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany.

Dr. Christopher Bott will take over as the interim superintendent there on August 15, when Dr. Giovanni Virgiglio’s resignation takes effect.

Bott is currently Associate Superintendent of Schools for the Diocese.

Additionally, Chief Operating Officer Bonni Shippee is the new chancellor for the diocese. This is an addition to her COO role.

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany has also appointed Amy Borzio-Andrews to vice chancellor. She’s been an archivist there since 2017.
