North Carolina woman faces weapons, drug charges after Saratoga Springs traffic stop

A North Carolina woman is accused of possessing a loaded handgun.

State Police stopped Elizabeth N. Burns, 29, on the Northway in Saratoga Springs on Monday at around 3:30 p.m. for a traffic violation. Troopers found loaded handgun and a controlled substance in the vehicle, they said.

Burns was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a controlled substance and traffic violations.
