Pair arrested on drug charges in Albany

Two people have been arrested on drug charges in the city of Albany.

Albany County Sheriff’s patrol officers visited a home on Quail Street just before 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 10 to check on a person on parole.

Shequan G. Canteen, who is on parole for weapon and drug charges, allegedly had around 10 grams of crack cocaine, according to investigators.

Another person who lives at the residence, 45-year-old Fasimba K. Paul, had around 172 grams of cocaine and $18,000 in cash. They both allegedly had a digital scale commonly used for packaging of narcotics.

Canteen and Paul are facing drug charges. They were taken to Albany County Jail pending arraignment.
