Pattersonville man arrested after car, foot chase with deputies
A Pattersonville man is accused of leading sheriff’s deputies on a chase – both on car and on foot.
Deputies responded to the area of Route 147 and Route 67 in the town of Charlton on Nov. 26 around 2:30 a.m. for a report of a vehicle that fled from State Police. They found a vehicle matching that description and tried to stop it. The driver, Steven A. Mango, 41, refused to stop, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.
Mango then continued into the town of Glenville, when he lost control of the vehicle and caused to crash into an embankment. He then ran away before he was arrested.
Mango allegedly had four grams of cocaine with him.
He was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle and failure to use designated lane.
Mango was released on an appearance ticket and turned over to the Schenectady Police Department on outstanding warrants.
