An Albany man is accused of possessing crack cocaine and prescription pills.
An Albany man is accused of possessing crack cocaine and prescription pills.
Deputies stopped Howard J. Smith, 50, in the area of Washington Avenue and Robin Street for a traffic violation. Smith had 45 grams of crack and 19 Xanax that were intended for sale, the Albany County District Attorney’s Office said.
Smith was charged with one felony count and one misdemeanor count of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
He was sent to Albany County Jail and is due in Albany City Criminal Court on Wednesday.
