Police: Bennington man struck family member

A Bennington man is accused of assaulting a family member.

Vermont State Police responded to a residence on South Stream Road in Pownal around 6:30 p.m. Saturday for a report of a fight.

Bradley M. Roy, 37, was charged with domestic assault. He was also charged with DUI, after police determined he allegedly drove to the residence while under the influence.

Roy was released, pending a court appearance on Monday.
