Police: Car dealership owner from Colonie didn’t report $2 million of sales

A car dealership owner from Colonie is accused of not reporting $2 million in sales. That means Guy Kennedy Nicolas didn’t pay $160,000 in sales tax, investigators said.

Kennedy owns G&A Auto Care, Inc. He was charged with grand larceny and criminal tax fraud.

From at least 2013 to 2023, he missed filling all but two annual sales tax returns, investigators said.

Kennedy was released on his own recognizance and faces up to 15 years in prison when sentenced on May 10.
