The car that crashed near the Fort Ann-Queensbury border after police began to chase it was reported stolen out of Middlebury, Vermont back in September, State Police said. The license plates were stolen off a different car, police said.
Quavion Parker, 22, from Troy, drove away from a traffic stop in Fair Haven, Vermont, police said. That led to a chase through Whitehall and then to Fort Ann.
The chase ended when the car crashed at the intersection of Ridge Road and Route 149.
Parker tried to run into the woods, said troopers, but was quickly caught.
State Police found a loaded gun, drugs, and more than $3,000 cash in the car, they said.
Parker is in the Warren County Jail without bail.
