Police: North Adams man drove under the influence, crashed car

A North Adams man is accused of driving under the influence and crashing his car in Vermont.

Donald Therrien, 64, was traveling on Main Road near Stamford Elementary School at around 4:45 p.m. when he crashed, Vermont State Police said. Therrien was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Troopers observed signs of impairment and he was charged with DUI. He is also accused of driving with a suspended license.

Therrien is due in Bennington Superior Court on July 24.
