Police: Syracuse-area man stole over $1,000 from Warren County resident

A Georgetown man was arrested recently for allegedly stealing money from a Warren County resident’s bank account.  

David C. Mapstone, 38, is accused of withdrawing more than $1,000 from an account belonging to the victim without permission. The alleged theft took place from December 2019 until April 2021.  

Mapstone was picked up by State Police Troop D in Oneida on an arrest warrant. He was charged with a felony count of fourth-degree grand larceny, arraigned in Warren County Centralized Arraignment Court and released on his own recognizance.
