A Troy man was arrested for allegedly making violent threats to a family member with a weapon.

It happened around 1:30 p.m. Friday at a home on 2^nd Avenue between 117^th and 118^th Street, Troy Police said.

Michael Pate, 38, was arrested. Police were still searching his residence and did not have the specific charges.
