A Vermont man set his home on fire on purpose last year, police said.

The fire happened at 536 Mill Road in Stamford on Dec. 27, 2023.

After a year-long investigation, police arrested Joseph Pallas, 31, on Monday.

He’s now charged with first-degree arson and insurance fraud.

He’s due back in court in February.
