Repeat felon sentenced for illegal gun in Albany

An Albany man is headed to prison for illegally having a gun.

Alexander Wilson was sentenced Wednesday to 27 months behind bars.

Wilson was convicted of a felony twice before.

He admitted that in March 2023, he threw a loaded pistol from a car while police were chasing him on I-90 in Albany, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.

Wilson also faces 3 years of post-release supervision, and must give up the gun.
