Run/walk in Lake George honors trooper who died from 9/11-related illness

Runners and walkers raised more than $42,000 in Lake George Sunday for Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

As NewsChannel 13 previously reported, the run/walk was held in memory of Senior Investigator Nick Georgeadis, who died last year from cancer related to his time at Ground Zero after 9/11.
Tunnel to Towers helps veterans, first responders and their families. It helps pay off their mortgages or modifying their homes to make them handicap accessible.
Sgt. Eddie Ryan, who was helped by Tunnel to Towers after he was shot and nearly killed in Iraq, and now lives in Lake George, was among those who took part on Sunday.
