Schenectady man gets nearly 5 years in prison for drug crime

A Schenectady man was sentenced on Wednesday to nearly 5 years in prison (57 months) for possessing methamphetamine and fentanyl.

Hason Harres, 47, previously admitted in federal court to having 1,400 counterfeit Oxycodone pills containing fentanyl and 92 grams of methamphetamine, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said. Harres was on probation for a state drug conviction.

Harres also faces four years of post-release supervision and must forfeit $13,800 in drug proceeds.
