Police have released the name of the person killed in a crash in Middleburgh on Tuesday. She is Beverly R. Conto, 70, Fultonham.

The crash happened around 1:45 p.m. on Route 145 near the intersection with Route 30.

Conto was traveling south on Route 145, when she entered the opposite lane and struck a northbound commercial vehicle, State Police said. She died at the scene.

The driver of the commercial vehicle had minor injuries and is cooperating with the investigation, according to police.

Route 145 in that area was closed for around four hours.
