Second suspect arrested in Slingerlands armed robbery
Bethlehem Police have arrested a New Jersey man as the second suspect in a December armed robbery.
Majid Godje, 24, is accused of using Facebook Marketplace to set up a meeting to purchase a necklace at 125 Vista Boulevard in Slingerlands. Godje, and Ronald Alcazar, allegedly showed a gun and stole the jewelry from the victim, police said.
Godje was arrested on Monday in New Jersey. He was charged with two counts of robbery, criminal use of a firearm, criminal possession of a weapon, grand larceny, conspiracy, unlawful imprisonment and menacing.
Godje was arraigned in Bethlehem Town Court and sent without bail to Albany County Jail. He is due back in court on May 7 at 4 p.m.
Alcazar, who lives in Queens, was arrested in January with the help of U.S. Marshals.
