Sheriff: Burnt Hills man violated protection order

A Burnt Hills man is accused of violating an order of protection.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to a domestic incident at a home on Lawmar Lane in the town of Ballston around 4:40 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 8. Jorge F. Torres, 45, is also accused of pushing a person, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.
Torres was charged with criminal contempt. It was upgraded to a felony count because he has a previous conviction within the last five years.
He was also charged with aggravated family offense and harassment. Torres was arraigned in Milton Town Court and sent to the Saratoga County Jail pending further proceedings in the Ballston Town Court.
