Skidmore singing fundraiser brings in $30,000 for charity
This year’s Skidmore Cares drive raised around $30,000 and nearly 5,000 household items for community members in need.
College students performed in “Skidmania ‘74,” a college tradition with musical performances of hits from 50 years ago.
Trustee James Zankel matched the concert’s proceeds, bringing this year’s total to around $30,000, according to the college.
The money and items will be donated to several Capital Region nonprofits including the Salvation Army and Shelters of Saratoga.
