In just more than a month, high school students from South Glens Falls will put on the area’s biggest annual fundraiser.

Preparations for the South High Marathon Dance are in full swing.

The marathon dance will benefit 34 people and organizations this year. Recipients got a chance to record messages to the dancers over the weekend. They’ll be played during the 28 hours of dancing.

Volunteers from Kelly’s Angels, which helps kids who’ve lost a parent to cancer, were among those recipients recording a thank you to dancers this weekend.

This year’s marathon dance is February 28 and March 1.

Last year’s dance marathon raised $747,000. They’ve raised more than $11 million through the years.
