Trooper that died in the line of duty in Wilton in 2016 honored by the Saratoga County Board of Supervisors.
A beloved state trooper who died in the line of duty has been presented with the New York State Liberty Medal – the highest award given by the state Senate.
Trooper Tim Pratt was helping a lost trucker, when he was hit and killed on Ballard Road in Wilton in October 2016.
Pratt served in the Air Force before he wore the uniform of State Police for 30 years. He also was a steadfast supporter of the South High Marathon dance.
State Sen. Jim Tedisco presented the award Wednesday to Pratt’s surviving children and his fiancée at a ceremony put on by the Saratoga County Board of Supervisors.
