Helping students find affordable dresses for the prom is the goal of an event.

On Tuesday and against on Thursday, students in the Global Fashion Program at Capital Region BOCES are selling dozens of used gowns for just $5. And one student will receive a golden ticket for a free dress.

Students say it is a great feeling to help others.

“It makes me really happy for them and excited just because I know how pretty they feel and they look gorgeous in them, and me as a girl I know how excited I get when I finally find a dress that I really like and how it fits on me,” said junior Hannah Ralston.
