A woman is accused of abusing a resident of a Department of Developmental Services care facility, and another woman is accused of trying to cover it up.
Sandra Villifane, 53, was working at the facility on Alpine Meadows Road in the town of Greenfield, when she hit and injured a nonverbal resident who is diagnosed with multiple developmental disabilities, investigators said.
Chantal St. Claire, 37, entered records into the logs showing that the victim was injured earlier in the day – and not by Villifane’s alleged abuse, investigators said.
The two women arranged the cover-up together, according to investigators.
Both were issued appearance tickets and released. They are due in Greenfield Town Court on March 20.
