Valatie man allegedly set shed on fire

A Valatie man is accused setting a shed on fire on purpose.

Emergency crews were called to a Valatie home last Thursday for a report of a shed fire. The shed had all-terrain vehicles a mower and other lawn equipment. The fire was extinguished, but the structure and equipment inside were destroyed, police said.

Noah D. Faulkner, 21, was charged with third-degree arson. Faulkner knew the shed’s owner, police said.

Faulkner was released on his own recognizance and is due in Chatham Town Court on Sept. 4.
