A Vermont man is accused of stealing from a Washington County business.

Eric M. Tuepker, 49, of Rutland, took merchandise from an unidentified business in Granville, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said.

Tuepker was arrested on unrelated charges in Vermont, and was found to be wanted in New York. He was extradited to Washington County.

Tuepker was charged with a felony count of grand larceny and misdemeanor conspiracy. He was arraigned in Washington County Centralized Arraignment Court and released on his own recognizance, pending a future court date.

Tuepker didn’t act alone, said investigators, and more charges are likely.
