Man found guilty of selling drugs in town of Wilton

Shahad Smith was found guilty of selling drugs in the town of Wilton after a jury trial.

A Wilton man could face more than 30 years in prison for dealing fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine throughout the Capital Region.

Shahid M. Smith, 33, was found guilty by a jury on 10 drug charges Monday, according to the Saratoga County District Attorney’s Office.

Smith sold fentanyl on three separate occasions in the town of Wilton in December 2022, according to the Saratoga County District Attorney’s Office. He also sold meth and cocaine in Wilton and Saratoga Springs.

Smith is due to be sentenced on April 22.
