Youth turkey hunting season getting underway
Youth turkey hunting season is getting underway this Saturday and Sunday, April 20 and April 21. The regular season for all licensed turkey hunters begins on May 1.

That’s for junior hunters ages 12 to 15.
The regular spring turkey season for all licensed turkey hunters opens May 1.
The spring turkey harvest in New York averages about 16,000 to 18,000 birds. DEC says this spring, it’s expecting a better turkey harvest compared to last year.
