NewsChannel 13 salutes U.S. Army Air Corps MSgt. Edwin Jendzeizyk of Schenectady.

The husband and father of two served in World War II, and was a crew chief in charge of maintenance for squadron aircraft.

He received a Presidential Unit Citation.

He later worked for Mohawk Airlines, General Electric and the Empire State Aerosciences Museum.

He passed away in 2007 at age 89.
