NewsChannel 13 salutes Army Corporal Lawrence Prater of Delmar.
He served in General Patton’s 3rd Infantry as an expert M-1 operator from 1943 to 1946.
He received a Purple Star and Bronze Heart.
In addition, he worked as an office manager at Bethlehem High School.

He passed away in 1981.
