Ashes to Go event held in Schenectady to mark Ash Wednesday

An annual Ashes to Go event was held outside in Schenectady on Ash Wednesday to mark the beginning of Lent.
Faith leaders are letting parishioners know they can receive ashes without having to go inside the church.
This is the first year clergy of other denominations were included.
The concept behind Ash Wednesday is penance. It lasts 46 days, leading up to Easter.
