The Capital Region is preparing for bitter cold.

Temperatures were expected to drop in the low single digits and below zero for many on Friday night and Saturday, with highs barely reaching 10 degrees in Albany on Saturday.
The NewsChannel 13 First Warning Weather Team is also watching the possibility of a coastal storm for late Sunday night and Monday.
