Saratoga Springs to welcome new police chief

Saratoga Springs officially welcomes its new police chief on Tuesday.    

He’s Lieutenant Shane Crooks.

Crooks is a 15-year veteran of the police force.    

Chief Crooks is a graduate of Adirondack Community College and Empire State College.          

He will replace retired Chief Greg Veitch, who served as chief since May 2013.
