Ally Hoy
Ally Hoy joined NewsChannel 13 in February 2024. She was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas and attended Biola University in Los Angeles, California from 2019-2020.
After moving back to Texas due to the COVID-19 pandemic, she transferred to Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, where she became a member of Zeta Tau Alpha fraternity and worked on developing her skills as a student news anchor, news reporter, and print journalist.
In the summer of 2023, Ally landed an internship at KSAT-12 San Antonio, where she shadowed and collaborated with seasoned reporters, anchors, producers, and editors. After creating news stories, shooting stand-ups, and gaining hands-on experience with live shots, she reported on air in the #1 station in Market 31 and produced content that aired. In December 2023, Ally graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies.
In her free time, Ally enjoys spending time with her family, snuggling with her dog, and traveling to see friends. As a recent college grad, she is thankful to be on the NewsChannel 13 team and honored to be a part of the Capital Region community.
