Lawmakers across the country are speaking out about gun violence – including right here at home.

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand is vowing to fight domestic terrorism and violent extremism.

The senator on Wednesday called for the passage of the “Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act.” It would ensure the Department of Justice, FBI and Homeland Security work together to better track and respond to a growing threat.

Gillibrand is also supporting Gov. Hochul’s efforts to raise the age to 21 years old when it comes to purchasing firearms.
