UAlbany’s College of Emergency Preparedness, homeland security and cybersecurity is teaming up with Meta, the parent company of Facebook.
They’re exploring a network of 3D virtual worlds that use virtual reality.

With this partnership, UAlbany is receiving 30 VR headsets for student use.
One student we spoke with says this is a big deal.

The plan is to roll out the headsets next semester for other emerging tech related classes at UAlbany and for outreach events with community organizations.
