Report: Nothing criminal found in what Mayor Ron Kim thought was threat

Police investigated a complaint that prompted a shouting match between Mayor Ron Kim and Public Safety Commissioner James Montagnino in May and found nothing criminal.
Kim had claimed he received an email threat against a member of his family and nothing was being done about it.
NewsChannel 13 has learned in a police report that the email in question said: “Ron, just resign. It will be better for you in the end.”
Kim brought that to the attention of Montagnino because he claimed nothing was being done.
Police said the case is now closed.
