2 people wounded in Schenectady shooting

Police in Schenectady are investigating a shooting early Friday morning in the city that left two people injured.

Police say officers responded to the Saw Mill Tavern on South Avenue just after 2 a.m. for reports of a shooting. There were reports that two people were shot.

When police arrived, they say they found a man with a gunshot wound to his leg. He was treated at the scene and taken to the hospital.

Police were then told a female victim was also brought to the hospital with a gunshot wound to her foot before they arrived.

Both injuries are described as non-life threatening.

There is no word yet on any suspects.
