More than 30 new citizens were sworn in Friday morning at the Albany Law School.

Candidates were welcomed by the dean, and then an immigration officer made a formal motion for citizenship.

Once the motion was granted by a federal judge, the candidates took an oath of citizenship and recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

The new citizens were awarded certificates and American flags.
